HORSE FIRE (CA-CNF)

Erratic winds and triple-digit temperatures stoked a fire in the Cleveland National Forest
Throughout the day, the fire steadily moved east into the Pine Creek Wilderness area threatening a number of communities. Winds generated by thunderstorms were switching west and east at about 20 mph and the mercury rose to 100 degrees, with humidity at 24 percent.
About 6,000 acres are burning in the Pine Creek Wilderness and Hauser Wilderness. Evacuations have been ordered for Carvacre, Correll Canyon campground and Sky Valley.Voluntary evacuations were ordered as a precaution for the Lake Morena area and Corte Madera. Containment is nowhere in sight!!
