Just when you think it's over!

The crew has been spiked out on the For Sure fire the last two days. To the east of us the Sawtooth Fire (now called the Ridge Fire) rekindled and blew up to a 26, 000+ acre fire. It burned over the town of Pioneer Town. Several engines from various agencies were burned over and about 5 destroyed. 16 firefighters were sent to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation and some 2nd degree burns, this was on 7/11. On 7/12 the For Sure was cold and would probably be unstaffed by the next shift. That was at about 10:30 am. However, the Millard Fire across from us to the south decided to change that. The Millard had some roll out that could be reached by crews in time and blew out of the canyon towards the For Sure. We had to do a emergency extraction to get all three crew off the For Sure (Laguna, El Cariso and Vista Grande). The fire is now 3600++ acres from the original 125 acres and with the current fire behavior is expected to possibly merge with the Ridge Fire within 24 hours. Here are some photos of the Millard and Ridge fire as they chased us out.
