The crew is helping with a firing operation today off of Hwy 33. These backfire operations are intended to provide a good secure line on the east perimeter of the fire in order to stop the forward progress of the fire. Warmer and drier weather forecasted through Tuesday evening will challenge firefighting efforts to complete the firelines. A fire weather watch has been issued due to low humidity.
