ON THE FIRE: Hand and dozer lines have been completed in the southwest, west and the northwest portions of the fire and crews are engaged in mopping up and improving lines in those areas. On the east and south side of the fire, the areas of Wildcat Ridge and Taylor Lake above Beardsly Grade remain areas of concern and firefighters will focus efforts there today. Extreme fire behavior, e low fuel moisture levels combined with steep terrain, heavy fuels, and the winds are challenging firefighter efforts. The current acreage is 64,271 and it's approx. 41% contained.
