Training

The crew completed their classroom portion of their critical fire refresher training. This included, crew SOP's, basic and extreme fire behavior, fire weather, basic chainsaw safety, hazard tree safety and entrapment avoidance to name a few.

Next week the crew will do their field exercise.  They will spike (camp) out for 4 days as if on an actual fire.  They will cut handline, perform medivac procedures,  fire shelter deployment and will be tested on several live scenarios.  The crew will feast on MRE's during their spike operation.  You can keep track of the crew's location on the SPOT link.
