Halstead Fire Update

The crew has been working in Div. V. The fire is about 27,000 acres with extreme fire behavior. Due to the extreme fire behavior and beetle killed trees, the crew's mission is to cut indirect line using roads, meadows and other natural barriers and fire out when the time is right to protect values at risk and herd the fire into the wilderness and away from the town of Stanley. The crew has 6 more shifts before heading home.
