The crew has spent the last two days hiking into the fire early in the morning and mopping up and securing the slopover. Everything looked good yesterday as we had one small squad hike in and check the line. As of today, we have been released from the Romero Fire but reassigned to the local district for coverage due to predicted warmer temps and thunderstorms in the latter week. We will be working out of the old mining town of Oracle unless a new fire starts.
