DAY 7 on this assignment
After getting a good dinner last night and some rest, the crew is headed for breakfast and briefing this morning. They were notified last night of a possible "slop-over" (hotspot or fire that escaped the fireline). They will head out to the fire this morning and wait until the IC flies the fireline and confirms if there is a slop-over or just some smoldering inside the interior of the fireline. If it is not a slop-over, then they'll head back to the campground to do project work. They are staging there and are fire ready should they get an assignment. This morning it is windy and low temperatures. Here's the weather for today.
