In Washington not feeling well

Most of the crew is feeling sick. Sounds like there is a little "cold" spreading around. Who brought that with them????

The southwest part of the fire is backing toward Pebble Creek. On the northwest portion the fire is pushing west towards Twentymile Creek. Due to extremely warm temperatures, dry air and dead vegetation, erractic fire behavior was observed in may areas around the fire causing fire officials to move back to the contingency line built through the center of the forest. The fire grew approxiamately 6500 acres during this active burning period. Because of the spread of the fire, the former contingency line is now the main fire line. Today crews will continue to improve lines, and if the weather permits, burnout operations will be conducted between the fire and fireline to prevent further spreading.

Current Acreage: 74,812 acres

Containment: 10%

Remember attitude is everything, so stay positive and focused. Hazards are found everywhere, so accidents can happen. There is strength in being part of the team.

Don't let fatigue and illness get the best of you. Get adequate rest, nourishment and stay hydrated.
