Visit from Congressman Filner

Superintendent Jim Huston meets with Congressman Bob Filner along with other forest officials and firefighters. Congressman Filner came to hear from the firefighters on their feelings about their job as Wildland Firefighters in the Forest Service. He also discussed is new legislation (with the help from FWFSA) for Federal Wildland Firefighters that includes; Portal to Portal pay, Improved retirement benefits, medical options for our temp employees to just name a few.
