Congratulations to David "The Machine" Rodriguez for being nominated for "Hotshot of the Year", by his Crew Mates. A Hotshot of the Year is that Hotshot who has exceeded the crew's Core Values of Duty, Respect and Integrity. At the end of the fire season, the crew writes in who they think should earn this honor. In the nominations for David, crew members described him as a hard worker, first to volunteer for any task, always positive and never complains, a good teacher, a good leader and one who tends to sacrifice his personal time to assist the crew and district for coverage needs when needed. David received a certificate and his name will be placed on a plaque in the training room.
