The Station Fire is burning in very heavy fuels which haven't burned in the past 40 years. The fire quadrupled in size driven by SE winds. Saturday. Fire behavior was extremely active with rapid rates of spread and flame lenghts up to 80 feet. There is a potential for today's fire behavior to be similar to Saturday. Upslope winds are likely. Spotting may occur from 1/4 mile up to 1/2 mile. The current size is 20,102 acres with approx. 5% containment. Yesterday's temps were in the triple digits, while Relative Humidity was below 10%. The crew will be on day shift today.

Mandatory evacuation orders are in effect for communities in Altadena, Pasadena, Glendale, La CaƱada-Flintridge, La Crescenta, and Big Tujunga Canyon.
