The red flag warning for high winds and lower humidity Friday afternoon led to an expected increase in fire activity on both the Spur Peak and Tripod fires. The fires made runs to the south and west producing large columns via group torching and short crown runs. The Spur Peak and Tripod fires remain approximately 3-5 miles apart.
